On 18 May, Valery Gergiev will appear with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York. Featured soloist for the performance is Daniil Trifonov, the winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition and a Grammy-winning musician. The programme of the performance includes Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto and Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9. The performance will open a series of concerts of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Quick reminder: Daniil Trifonov will perform at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre as part of the XXVII Stars of the White Nights festival on 30 June and 1 July. On 30 June, he will perform Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Mariinsky Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev, while on 1 July he will appear in a recital. |
