Valery Gergiev to appear with the World Orchestra for Peace in St Petersburg and Moscow
On 5 and 6 October Valery Gergiev will conduct two concerts with the World Orchestra for Peace – in St Petersburg at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre (5 October, 16:00) and in Moscow at the Zaryadye Concert Hall (6 October, 19:00). The programme includes Symphony No 6 (Pastoral) by Ludwig van Beethoven and Symphony No 9 by Franz Schubert.

Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra will open the 2019-20 season at the Zaryadye Concert Hall with the series All of Tchaikovsky's Symphonies
On 7 and 8 September Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra will open the 2019-20 season at the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow. The programme includes all of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's symphonies as well as appearances by prize-winners of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition.

On 8 September the Mariinsky Theatre will open the 2019-20 season at two venues. At 16.00 at the Concert Hall Valery Gergiev will conduct the Mariinsky Orchestra. Valery Gergiev will be presenting the prize-winners of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition at the Mikkeli Festival
From 3 to 5 July Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra will perform a series of concerts in Mikkeli at the XXVIII Gergiev Festival. Valery Gergiev is the festival's Artistic Director. Alongside the Mariinsky Orchestra, the tour will feature prize-winners of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition, which ran from 17 to 29 June in Moscow and St Petersburg. For the young musicians, this will be their first tour in their new status as prize-winners

The XVII Moscow Easter Festival
From 8 April to 9 May 2018 there will be an eagerly anticipated event in Russia's cultural calendar – the XVII Moscow Easter Festival. It is being held with the support of the Moscow City Government, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and with the blessing of His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All the Russias. The seventeenth festival will be one of the greatest and lengthiest in the festival's history – this record music marathon will run for 32 days!

The Mariinsky Theatre's tour to Europe
Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra are undertaking a major European tour. From 5 to 17 February the musicians will present twelve concerts in Austria, Germany, Spain and Italy.
On 4 February, the day before the tour commences, the Mariinsky Orchestra, Chorus and soloists of the Opera Company as well as guest artistes will present Giuseppe Verdi's opera Simon Boccanegra at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall (concert performance).
